Meet our head instructor
My name is Janani Perera (Children often call me Ms. Jay). I am a certified Montessori teacher specializing in the education of age 2 to 6 year old kids.
I completed my Montessori Teacher Preparation Director program in Kent, WA, in 2008 and I have been a Professional Montessori school Head Instructor for over ten years.
I am committed to every child’s growth and development, including my commitment to Grace & Courtesy, proper nutrition, and preparing safe and nurturing environments. I enjoy my time guiding and supporting children as they explore, learn, and develop their inner potential.
As an early childhood educator and as a parent, I am looking forward to sharing my passion for Montessori with families looking for a caring and educational environment that provides for the child’s well-being.

At Montessori School of Creative Minds (MSOCM), Unlike other large School/ Daycare centers, we offer our community children a small group student-teacher Ratio of 6 or 8 to 1 for Age 2 years – 6 years. A lower Ratio enables me to focus on quality rather than quantity. My goal is to prepare kids to succeed in the next level of academics and social challenges.
